Who we are
Landscope is run by Hikari Estates Ltd, a UK company registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Questions, requests, complaints: nt@hikariestates.co.uk.
What we collect, and why
- Your account — name, email address, and your password stored scrambled (hashed), never readable. Needed to provide the service and to contact you about your account.
- Sign-in activity — when and how often you sign in. Visible only to the administrator, used to run the beta.
- What you save — saved sites, tags and notes. Private to your account; no other user can see them.
- Messages you send us — through the Help form, delivered to our mailbox so we can reply.
We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone.
Legal basis
We process your account data to provide the service you asked for (contract), and sign-in activity to run and secure a small beta (legitimate interest).
Where it lives
On our own server in Germany (Hetzner, EU), with nightly backups kept on the same server for 14 days. Emails are sent through Zoho Mail. The map and property data you look at comes from public UK government sources; your searches are processed on our server and not shared.
Cookies
One cookie, strictly necessary: it keeps you signed in for up to 7 days. No tracking cookies, so no cookie banner.
How long, and your rights
We keep your data while your account exists. You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete your account and its data — email nt@hikariestates.co.uk and we'll act within a month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
